Arrival

The most convenient way to get here is via the A 38. Leave the highway at the exit Berga/Stolberg and drive in the direction of Berga. Turn right at the traffic lights in the direction of Rottleberode. In Rottleberode follow the main road - the main road turns left at some point, here you simply drive straight ahead in the direction of Stolberg. Once there, turn sharp right at the train station onto Thyrahöhe and follow the signs to FreiWerk.

If you are coming from Hamburg, Bremen or Hanover, the best route will take you via the A7 and A2 to Braunschweig-Nord. From there, follow the A391 and A395 in the direction of Wolfenbüttel and Bad Harzburg. At the Vienenburg junction, take the A36 in the direction of Wernigerode and Blankenburg. From here your way leads you across the picturesque Harz landscape to us. At the exit Blankenburg-Zentrum change to the B81 towards Hasselfelde, where you turn left at the traffic lights onto the B242 towards Harzgerode/Stiege. Drive through Stiege and after about 5. kilometers turn right towards Breitenstein/Stolberg. Two kilometers after Breitenstein the road goes right directly to Stolberg, where you follow the main road through the town (direction Rottleberode/Berga). Opposite the Stolberg train station, turn left onto Thyrahöhe and follow the signs to FreiWerk.
